Kolpa
KOPLA was born with a humble vision to produce and promote ethical handmade products from Nepal. We work hand-in-hand with local craft persons, small cottage industries, co-operatives led by women and many indigenous communities living in remote areas of Nepal. This ensures them with utilization of their skills, economic opportunities and financial independence. We are also striving to elevate and enhance global handicrafts market by nourishing and supporting exceptional and outstanding skills of Nepalese crafts persons that reflects and represents Nepali culture. In making our products, we make use of indigenous natural materials like Himalayan Wild Nettle ‘Allow’, Hemp ‘Ganja’, Camel’s foot climber ‘Bhola’, Corn Husk ‘Khosta’, Typha ‘Pater’ and Handmade Vegetable Tanned Leather ‘Sindhupalchoke Chhala’ to name a few. We also support the last nomadic community of Nepal, Raute, by selling their wooden crafts. We hope, through our collective effort, we could make this world a better place for us and our future generation.
