An Oven, Toaster, Grill (OTG) is essentially a smaller version of a traditional oven. It uses heated coils to cook meals and requires much less setting up. The thermostat present in the OTGs helps control the temperature, ensuring the food is cooked or heated properly. These ovens are heated by electric coils. As its heating time is relatively slower than other microwaves, it consumes less electricity.

When cooking with an OTG heat is radiated by coils and heat is absorbed by foods. A fan is used to distribute heat evenly, but most of the heat is dispensed directly below the coils. An OTG is best used for baking, toasting and grilling. For example you can bake cake, grill meats and toast bread at ease but you cannot use it for reheating, cooking and defrosting.
